All content relating to healthcare will be presented in a way that is explicitly pro-choice; emphasizing the need for trauma-informed and harm reduction focused approaches to providing care.
In this episode, hosts will describe the history of fear-mongering towards HIV/AIDS and the subsequent advocacy work that was done in Canada to improve the standards of care/ prevent ion for STBBls. Additional discussions of medical neglect, inaccessible surgical and pharmaceutical care, housing insecurity, sex-negativity, and genitalia are included. A brief reference to Residential Institutions across Turtle Island is also made.
