Brock Pride is the official Brock University club devoted to creating a safe, social environment for students of diverse gender and sexual identities. We offer a welcoming atmosphere which provides an opportunity for students of the pride community (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, two-spirited, intersex, queer, questioning or otherwise associated) and their allies to create support networks and gain guidance in maintaining healthy relationships, coming out, and other issues relevant to having a queer identity. We will also pursue the advancement of equality, acceptance and fair treatment of LGBTQ+ issues such as accessibility of same-sex marriage, homophobia on campus and in the community, addressing heterosexism and lack of representation in society, and fair treatment of pride community members.

The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Sudbury/Manitoulin branch was established in 1984 and is a not-for-profit organization with a volunteer board of directors.

The branch is mandated to provide services to individuals with mental health issues or a diagnosis of a mental illness (though it is not required) within the Sudbury and Manitoulin districts. Our mission is to provide services that promote recovery for all and mental health education. We believe in helping people regain a meaningful role in their community.

CMHA is primarily funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and also receives funds from the Ministry of Child & Youth Services and the City of Sudbury.

Canadian Parents of Trans & Gender Diverse Kids is a support group for parents and guardians of gender diverse children, youth, and adults, including those who are two-spirit, transgender, genderqueer, non-binary, agender, gender fluid, gender creative, or gender-questioning!

Parents canadiens d’enfants trans est d’un groupe d’entraide pour les parents/les tuteurs d’enfants, de jeunes, et d’adultes de divers genres: bispirituels, transgenres, non-binaires, créatifs dans le genre, ou qui se questionnent sur le genre.

This group is focused on non-judgemental support and information sharing. This is a ‘secret’ group, which means that membership is completely secret – only other members know who is part of this group, and only members can see what is posted. In order to maintain a safe place for everyone, members are asked to keep confidential any identifying details, including photos, shared in this group.
