Alliance for South Asian AIDS Prevention (ASAAP)

Region Served: Toronto | Language: English | Ages Served: 19 and over

ASAAP is committed to providing culturally responsive holistic health promotion and support services for people from South Asian and other related communities who are living with, at risk of, or affected by HIV and related health conditions.

Our programs and services are delivered in culturally appropriate ways while simultaneously challenging the discomfort many have in talking about sexuality and sexual health. We acknowledge the many social determinants of health and our work often overlaps with issues of racism, gender equity, housing, violence, mental health and employment. We are always learning, growing and building stronger partnerships with organizations and people.

We also have 3 closed programs that are for specific South Asian Races:
Dosti is a social and support group for South Asian men who like men. For more info, contact Robbie at menshealth@asaap.ca or 416-599-2727 ex 226.

Snehithan is a social and support group for Tamil men who like men. For more info, contact Rohith at peer@asaap.ca or 416-599-2727 ex 227.
